On Monday 6th October we were thrilled to host theย ๐ˆ๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐’๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐œ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐งย event at the Climate Lab in Vienna, in collaboration with bรผndnis mikroplastikfrei, as part of the INSPIRE Europe‘s ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ž ๐„๐œ๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ฒ ๐’๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ, a dynamic afternoon dedicated to exploring actionable strategies for reducing plastic waste and fostering sustainable innovation!

Michael Neuman (CEO, KITOCOAT), Johann Zimmermann (NaKu – Aus Natรผrlichem Kunststoff, Paul Fuehrmann (Founder & CEO of chromulus – Trockennebel), Daniel Steinitz (Head of Technology and Innovation Management, bรผndnis mikroplastikfrei) and Polymnia Dagtzidou-Kisser (Managing Director of alchemia-nova Greece) representing #REMEDIESEU for showcasing their plastic-free waste solutions, and providing us with real inspiration for innovation.

We also had a very informative panel discussion on โ€œ๐…๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐จ ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ค๐ž๐ญ,โ€ moderated by Sarah Gilani, Integrated Communication Manager and Board Member at alchemia-nova. Our panelists โ€” Gert Everaert ( Project Coordinator, INSPIRE Europe), Milica Aksentic (Senior Sustainability Manager, Mondi Group), Andreas Mautner (Associate Professor, BOKU University), Martin Leban (Co-founder, 123zero), Johann Zimmermann (NaKu – Aus Natรผrlichem Kunststoff and Renate Paumann (Bundesministerium fรผr Land- & Forstwirtschaft, Klima- & Umweltschutz, Regionen & Wasserwirtschaft) represented diverse backgrounds, ranging from government and EU-funded projects to research, packaging, product development, and sustainable materials. Panelists shared their insights and inspired a meaningful dialogue, about paving the way from innovation to market. Their contributions underscored the importance of collaboration at all levels in tackling plastic pollution at its roots.

By using ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ž๐Ÿ๐ญ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ, ๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ๐ฌ, and applying ๐ง๐ž๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  and ๐†๐จ๐จ๐ ๐๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ž๐ฌ, the catering beautifully demonstrated how food waste can be reduced while creating real value. It inspired participants to close loops in practice, reassess resources, and apply sustainable ideas in both everyday and professional contexts.
