Last weekย ourย Researcher and Scientific Project Manager Panos Petridis had the opportunity to attend theย European Ocean Days 2026, including the #MissionForum2026, in Brussels, one of Europeโs leading gatherings for marine research and innovation, bringing together scientists, policymakers, industry, NGOs, and coastal communities to work towards more regenerative practices and healthier seas.
It was a great moment to present the work we are doing in Inspire Europe on #zeroplasticwaste prevention, discuss our activities with coastal nature-based solutions as well as to connect with, and learn from, other similar Mission projects and emerging innovations!
In these turbulent times, it was encouraging to see so many initiatives across Europeย driving forward the European Ocean Pact, strengthening cooperation, and accelerating concrete action for healthier rivers, seas, and coastal ecosystems.
