We were pleased to have Susanna Findlay present the ProCleanLakes project at the International Water Association World Water Congress & Exhibition in Glasgow, 4-8th October 2026, with a poster highlighting alchemia-nova’s work on Nature-based Solutions for water pollution.

At Langvatnet, an historical mining site has resulted in acid mine drainage with low pH and presence of heavy-metals.
As part of ProCleanLakes, we have begun implementation of a small-scale Nature-based Solution (NbS) designed to treat the contaminated water before it reaches the lake.
Our poster, “Nature-based Solutions for Mitigating Acid Mine Drainage Threats to Langvatnet Lake: Insights from the ProCleanLakes Project,” showcased this practical proof-of-concept and the work being done to protect freshwater ecosystems.
