Ecological Engineer - NbS and Water

Currently, performing as an Ecological Engineer at alchemia-nova, involved in Nature-based Solutions against climate change disruptions, river basin, lakes and aquatic ecosystems restoration and a more circular wastewater treatment, storage, management and reuse. Previously engaged in sustainable water management, Nature-based Solutions and biodiversity EU funded projects and capacity building activities at ICLEI Europe. Active in project acquisition, research, and research and innovation projects (incl. implementation, coordination and engagement) for achieving freshwater targets of European Green Deal, Mission Ocean 2030 and Mission Charter, Flooding and Water Framework Directive. +14 years experience in engineering and research institutions in Brasil, Peru, Morocco, United States and Europe, to support actions to which these global actions are aligned with: systemic approach for restoration, protection & preservation of freshwater ecosystems; natural water treatment solutions; digital web-platforms interfacing with hydrological modelling and Geo-Spatial Data Analysis and multi-level stakeholders’ exchange, training and capacity-building on urban water sensitive design, river basin restoration and green and blue infrastructure. PhD Fellow at Cornell University, Post-Graduate Masters from IUAV Venice, KU Leuven and UPC Barcelona, bachelors and Masters from UPV Valencia, Professional Degree in Classical Music (Piano). Wildnature sports enthusiast.
