Max Läuger

Max Läuger is a researcher and scientific project manager at alchemia-nova and holds a Master’s degree in Ecological Engineering from BOKU University. He has an interdisciplinary background in circular economy, nature-based solutions, and biogeochemistry, and has experience in systems thinking, data analysis, and material flow and impact assessments. He believes the circular economy is not just about handling waste differently, but about rethinking how we design our societies — creating systems that regenerate ecosystems, support communities, and operate within planetary boundaries. He is particularly passionate about bio-based building and greening cities, while considering principles of degrowth and care for the commons in their implementation.
