Nils Klose

Researcher and Scientific Project Manager

Nils is a Researcher and Scientific Project Manager at alchemia-nova, contributing to the implementation and coordination of EU-funded projects in the fields of circular economy and bioeconomy. His current work includes assessing the social acceptance of bio-based fertilizers, coordinating a bioreactor demonstration site in Vienna, and co-developing circular business models for the construction industry. He was also involved in analyzing industrial symbiosis approaches and is supporting project management across multiple EU Horizon projects.

After completing an apprenticeship as an industrial management assistant and earning a B.A. in Business Administration, he worked in digital project management at a German publishing house. Motivated by a strong interest in sustainability and systemic transformation, he moved to Vienna to pursue a career shift into the bioeconomy sector. He holds an MSc in Sustainable Business Management from the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna. He previously worked at an organic gourmet mushroom farm, deepening his practical experience in circular food systems. His key interests include circular transformation, sustainable business strategies, and bridging economic thinking with ecological innovation.
