Ecological Engineer, NbS and waste water

Gregor Plestenjak (PhD, MSc in Agronomy) is an environmental engineer with over ten years of experience in nature-based solutions (NBS) for wastewater treatment, environmental monitoring, and sustainable infrastructure projects. He has been involved in the design and operation of constructed wetlands, sludge drying reed beds, and wastewater treatment plants, as well as in environmental supervision for major construction works.

Combining research experience with practical project implementation, Gregor works on developing solutions that support environmental protection and the sustainable use of resources. He has taken part in a range of projects and enjoys working with people from different professional backgrounds.
