Panos Petridis

Researcher and Scientific Project Manager

Panos is an interdisciplinary researcher and project manager, working at the interface between science, society and the environment. He has an educational background in marine biology, and holds a PhD in Social Ecology. For many years he was involved in the research and management of a transdisciplinary initiative on a Greek island in support of a local sustainability transition (Sustainable Samothraki). Moreover, he has extensive experience developing and managing EU-level projects. He is co-founder of DISSCO Lab, an association that promotes public engagement to science through innovative citizen science activities, and a fellow at P2P Lab, a research collective focusing on the commons. His continued passion for environmental conservation, and the search for nature-based solutions, led him to alchemia-nova, where he acts as a researcher and scientific project manager.
