Sandra Nicolics

Environmental Engineer and Project PI

Sandra Nicolics is an interdisciplinary researcher and project manager who works at the intersection of environmental technologies, sustainable development, and collaborative governance. She has her academic background in environmental and resouce management and engineering and 15+ years of experience from applied inter- and multi-disciplinary research, and national- and international R&D and consultancy projects. The focus of her work lies on water and wastewater management, nature-based solutions, climate adaptation, and sustainable urban development. Across her work, she values practical approaches and collaboration with partners from science, private sector, public administration, and civil society. Across her projects she contributes to conceptual development, stakeholder engagement, and the transition of research outcomes into tools, guidelines, and capacity-building formats for practice. Sandra is a PhD-candidate of the Transitions2Sustainability Doctoral Program at BOKU University.
